Looking for touring kayak partner(s)

General InfoI suppose that's the point of this club (which I will soon be a member of) but I'd also like to find a regular touring kayak partner, too. I live in Nicholasville and routinely kayak the KY river at Highbridge and up the Dix River, the Elkhorn in Frankfort, and, most recently Great Crossings Park.

Interested in exploring new areas with a like-minded individual.

I'm not interested in WW. Also, I don't consume alcohol while I'm on the water and I won't go with someone who does (or uses illegal substances) so if that describes you please don't waste my time (or yours).

If you are interested in having a partner the please contact me directly at steven.servus.dei@gmail.com

Looking for racing partner

General InfoI've been racing canoes since the early 1990s. Have gone through several racing partners and my last one got married last year and his new wife has better things for him to do.

Need someone that is strong and can paddle for as much as 3-4 hours. I race as many races in the state as I can. Took 2nd place in the touring division in the Des Plains race in Chicago in 2003. Have won in most of the races entered in the last 13+ years. Most races are in the 2-8 mile category (usually .5 - 1.5 hours). Average 3-5 races/year. Would do more if partner is so inclined.

If your are interested please call me @270-422-2864. I live in Brandenburg and have a 3 mile long lake to practice on. I have anything from Coleman canoes to graphite racing tandum canoes. I also have the 8 oz. graphite racing paddles also.
